An orange fox of about twenty some years old laid on the light blue, comfy cushions of one of the couches in the nice looking wreck room inside the massive, bulk of a ship, the Great Fox.
-FOX MCCLOUD-
He just lay there staring up into the space in his mind where he grieves for the former love of his life, Krystal, who left to join up with Fox’s rivals, Star Wolf.
“ALL STAR FOX MEMBERS PLEASE REPORT TO THE BRIDGE,” Rob, the Great Fox’s robot, paged in his mechanical voice over the intercom. Fox really didn’t want to get up but he slowly pulled himself off the soft couch onto his feet. He walked out and headed for the bridge.
-Great Fox, Bridge-
Fox entered the large room to see only a robot there. The room had a large square room that had two doors on every wall; all but the one in the back left were bedrooms, the last was a door to the hall which is the one Fox came through. There was no wall on the opposite side except for an optional wall that can come from the ceiling. The opening connected directly to the bridge.
“So what’s up Rob?” Fox sighed.
“I HAVE RECEIVED A TRANSMISSION FROM GENERAL PEPPY HARE.”
-R.O.B. 64-
Just then Slippy and Falco came in through the same grey door as Fox did.
“Whoa did I hear right? Peppy is contacting us?” a green frog smiled with anticipation.
-SLIPPY TOAD-
“We haven’t heard from him since we beat the Angler Emperor. I wonder what he wants,” the slick, blue bird added.
-FALCO LOMBARDI-
“Bring it up Rob,” Fox ordered.
“AFFIRMATIVE.” The giant screen in front of them came to life with color and they instantly saw a grey rabbit in a red and gold general’s uniform.
-PEPPY HARE-
“Hello team,” Peppy greeted.
“Yay it’s Peppy!” Slippy squealed.
“Hey looking good Peppy,” Falco smiled with a fake salute.
“How is my team doing?” Peppy asked.
“We haven’t had any real good job since we beat planet Venom’s army, it’s been boring,” Falco sighed.
“Hey Fox is something wrong?” Peppy asked him. Fox didn’t say anything.
“He’s still depressed about, well, you know.”
“Oh, yes, I do.”
“So what did you want to tell us?” Slippy reminded.
“I want to show you all something special.” The camera moved to reveal a hound dog standing in the same type of clothing.
“Hello Star Fox,” he said.
-GENERAL PEPPER-
“General you’re got better!” Slippy got even more excited. Falco and even Fox got excited over this.
“I had a terrible disease that is normally fatal but somehow I ended up recovering,” General Pepper announced. Then Peppy walked back into view.
“After he became well enough to come back I volunteered to give my spot back to him, so I got reassigned to my previous position.”
“Does that mean you’re coming back?!” Falco asked.
“It sure does!”
“Yaaay!” Slippy screamed.
“This is cool!” Falco remarked.
“THE TRANSMISSION SIGNAL IS WEAK, I MUST TERMINATE.”
“Okay Rob. See you soon Peppy,” Fox said. The screen shut off and Slippy immediately ran off.
-Deep Space Area-
Three red fighters and one blue fighter flew through space as a wave. In the lone blue and white craft was a blue vixen with an aggressive smile on her face.
-KURSED-
“Okay, I see the carrier coming up,” a grey wolf informed from the largest ship out of the four, know as the Red Fang.
-WOLF O DONNELL-
“Get ready to fire,” Wolf ordered.
“I was born ready,” a smooth talking, black feline added from his Black Rose.
-PANTHER CARUSO-
“I’ll cook em up for ya Wolf,” a chameleon added from inside his Rainbow Delta.
-LEON POWALSKI-
“I know you will,” Wolf smiled deviously.
“I got the steel shredder prepared,” Kursed informed.
“Good.”
“Go for it Kursed baby!” Panther urged as the carrier came into view. Kursed sped up and fired an unusual blue beam from her Cloud Runner’s nose that tore easily through the carrier’s hull. She dropped back with the team then they disbanded to attack as three anti-aircraft guns fired from the top of the carrier. They fired continuously at Star Wolf and they fired back, the turrets tried hard to hit them but to no avail. The carrier sustained so much damage that one by one each turret shut off. The team flew by in a line and each pulled out something from the carrier then they collected and flew off as the carrier crashed into an asteroid belt.
-Great Fox, Wreck Room-
Fox was doing exactly what he was doing before Rob called them a few hours earlier. Suddenly Falco walked in but Fox didn’t even flinch; Falco noticed Fox and came over to him.
“Fox, I know you miss Krystal but it’s been over three weeks; what you’re doing to yourself ain’t healthy,” Falco advised.
“What do you know? You still have your precious Katt Monroe,” Fox snapped.
“I haven’t seen her for months.”
“But she isn’t on your rival’s team plotting to destroy you.”
“But Fox, come on man-”
“EMERGENCY, ALL STAR FOX MEMBERS REPORT TO THE BRIDGE IMMEDIATELY!”
“Let’s go!” Falco quickly helped Fox up and they raced out of the room.
-Bridge-
Once all three collected Rob briefed them.
“FOUR FIGHTERS ARE RAPIDLY COMING TOWARDS THE GREAT FOX; THEY’VE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS STAR WOLF.”
“Okay Rob. Turn the ship and fly away from them to buy some time.” Fox ordered.
“AFFIRMATIVE.” They immediately ran to the docks.
-Great Fox Docking Bay-
They all jumped into their respective fighters. Fox in the Arwing II, Falco in the Sky Claw, and Slippy in the Bull Frog.
“LAUNCHING ALL SHIPS.” All three of them got thrown out of the Great Fox and flew to intercept Star Wolf. They all saw each other and stopped.
“Rob, open a communication channel to all four enemy ships,” Fox ordered.
“AFFIRMATIVE.”
“Wolf! What are you doing here?” Fox growled.
“Finishing are dispute.”
“Hey what’s that under Wolf’s hull?” Falco asked.
“Whoa, that’s a G-class power bomb, an illegal type!” Slippy reported.
“That’s right and it’s coming for you,” Leon snickered.
“Shut your mouth lizard boy!” Falco snapped.
“With a bomb that big they have to be after the Great Fox!”
“Attack! Keep them away from the Great Fox!” They took off; Fox followed Wolf’s Red Fang while firing at his tail.
“Fox, Krystal is on your tail!”
“Heh, sorry Fox, it’s nothing personal, just part of the job,” Kursed assured then hit the red buttons that fire the lasers and shot at Fox’s Arwing II but luckily missed. Falco came up and hit Kursed’s left wing Panther came around in his Black Rose and fired back at Falco then followed behind. Krystal stayed right behind Fox.
“Hey Fox, let’s switch,” Falco suggested.
“Sure. ”They passed and barrel rolled into the other’s tailgater, but then Panther and Kursed followed behind both of them. Leon’s Rainbow Delta fired at Slippy and didn’t let up at all.
“Help!” Slippy yelled.
“We’ve got our own problems!” Fox reminded.
“Hey what’s that?” Falco asked.
“What?”
“There, at four-o-clock!” Fox took a quick look as he dodged the many red glowing laser beams shooting past him.
“Is, is that one of the old Arwings?”
“Peppy is here!” Slippy yelled.
“Hello team,” Peppy smiled. “Hey Wolf, four against three isn’t very fair!”
“D*** rabbit!” Wolf turned and fired at Peppy but he fired right back and hit the Red Fang dead center or the nose. Peppy turned and chased Leon away from Slippy then they attacked Kursed and Panther. Slippy hit Panther multiple times in the Black Rose’s right side while Peppy hit the Cloud Runner once in its engine. Star Wolf gathered together.
“Had enough Wolf?” Falco asked.
“My hull isn’t looking good,” Panther mentioned.
“And my engine is failing!” Kursed added.
“Fine, you got us this time Star Fox, but mark my words, we’ll be back,” Wolf snarled. Their ships turned around and flew away into the darkness of space.
“Well that’ll take care of them for a while,” Fox smiled. “Thanks for your help Peppy.”
“Hey it’s my job.”
-A few hours later, Great Fox, Bridge-
“So Rob, what do you have for us?” Fox asked.
“I HAVE STUDIED STAR WOLF’S BOMB AND DISCOVERED THAT IT IS MADE OF STOLEN MATERIALS. A LOT OF WHAT THEY HAVE STOLEN IS THERE BUT SOME MATERIALS ARE STILL UNACCOUNTED FOR.”
“Okay Rob, thanks.”
“Hey what happened?” Falco asked.
“What is it Falco?” Peppy asked.
“That computer screen just shut down.”
“I’m sure Rob did that.”
“NEGATIVE, I DID NOT.”
“Then who did?”
“I AM GETTING A LIFE SIGN READING IN THE MAINTENANCE HALLS.”
“Someone must be trying to sabotage us,” Fox growled.
“But who?” Slippy wondered.
“It doesn’t matter, it’ll be dead when I get to it.”
-Maintenance Halls-
Fox walked in and closed the hatch behind him quietly. He pulled out his blaster carefully and began searching the halls. After a few minutes he spotted someone quietly run by a passage ahead of him.
“Crap, it looked like Krystal.” Fox continued to pursue the culprit and peaked around a corner to see the blue vixen’s back to him as she flipped switches and pulled wires. Fox jumped out with his blaster in front of him “Freeze!” Krystal stopped and put her hands on her head. “Now turn around slowly.” She did what she said and Fox saw a smirk on her face.
“So are you going to shoot me?” Kursed smiled.
“Krystal, could we please just talk for a few minutes?”
“Okay sure, but the name’s Kursed now.”
“Please don’t make me call you that.”
“When I’m around you better.”
“Fine.” They sat down on the floor facing each other. “So, first of all, what the heck are you doing here?”
“Wolf sent me to weaken the Great Fox. He put a Radar jammer on the Cloud Runner so you wouldn’t see me.”
“Okay, but why are you so hostile to us now, I mean I saved your life on Sauria and now you’re trying to kill us.”
“I know I regret it sometimes, but like I said earlier, it’s just part of the job.”
“You never gave me a good reason for why you left us to join Star Wolf, so did you have one?”
“Yeah but it’s kinda complicated. One reason is that Panther is open about liking me, you always seem ashamed of it.”
“That’s only because I’m not used to it, when you joined us there hadn’t been a girl in our group for a while; Fay and Miyu left over a year ago.”
“I didn’t know about them.”
“Yeah, they both got reassigned to other teams. So have you ever considered coming back?”
“I don’t know-” Fox jumped up with Kursed, blaster in hand, when he heard a sound from around the corner. He pushed Kursed out of sight then followed. Looking through a crack in the wall, Fox could see an orange and black ear with a small black tuff on the end peaking out from behind the wall.
“Did anyone come with you?” Fox whispered.
“No one that I noticed.” The ear was followed by one eye and an arm holding a blaster upwards. The feline did a somersault and landed on one knee while holding the blaster intently.
-MIYU LYNX-
Fox had enough but somehow thought she looked familiar. He held up his forefinger to Kursed to say, “Wait here” and she nodded. Fox flipped around and pointed his blaster at the tomboyish lynx and she instantly lowered her gun and stood up.
“Fox?!” she exclaimed. At that second it clicked in his head who it was.
“M-Miyu?!” Fox said surprised.
“I uh know this looks bad but I actually followed a suspicious character into here.”
“It’s okay Miyu, I believe you.”
“Oh, good…” she looked relieved but then she looked up at him and they grew smiles on there faces. They embraced laughing a little then separated.
“Man Miyu I haven’t seen you in over a year!”
“Yeah not since Peppy reassigned me to that other team.”
“So what have you been up to?”
“Well a few days ago my team started to get reassigned and now I’m the only one left, they are still deciding where to put me. Oh I almost forgot, I followed a suspicious blue ship that landed on the Great Fox and I haven’t found them. You seen anything?”
“Yeah she’s right here.” Fox motioned for Kursed to come out and she obeyed.
“Hey, I’m Kursed from Star Wolf.”
“I take it you’re friends,” Miyu decided.
“Used to be when she was known as Krystal; now she left us to join Star Wolf,” Fox corrected.
“Hey Kursed, I’m Miyu Lynx, former Star Fox flight ace.”
“Well guys, this has been fun, but I gotta go,” Kursed put on a devious smile, backed up, and took off down a hall.
“Wait, no, Krystal! Miyu, we gotta catch her!” Fox yelled. Fox took off down the same hall as Kursed while Miyu went down the one to Fox’s left. Fox stayed in pursuit but was forced to stop when Kursed squeezed through a wall of pipes. For a flexibly girl like her it was easy, but Fox knew he’d never make it, he saw Miyu run by and went her way instead.
-Great Fox, Docking Bay-
Miyu stopped and Fox did too when he caught up. They watched as the Cloud Runner took off.
“Should we go after her?” Miyu asked.
“No, there’s no point, let’s just forget about her,” Fox decided. “Let’s just go find the others.” They watched the Cloud Runner fly out into the black void of space. “Come on.”
-Great Fox, Bridge-
Fox led Miyu into the Bridge.
“Hey Fox, uh hi Miyu.” Falco greeted. “What are you doing here?”
“Let me,” Fox put his hand on Miyu’s shoulder for a second. “Krystal was responsible for the machines shutting down, her ship had a radar jamming device on it to go unseen. Miyu followed her to try and stop her but she got away.”
“You guys might want to change that lock,” Miyu mentioned. “I think Krystal just unlocked the door because it didn’t look broken.”
“I’ll get to that after I bring everything else up,” Slippy assured.
“So Miyu, whatcha going to do now?” Fox asked.
“Well…” Miyu pulled Fox to the side. “I, I was kinda wondering if I could rejoin you guys.”
“Oh, uh, I’d like that, I’ll see what I can do.”
“Thanks.” Fox went over to Peppy and told him.
“Well I don’t see why not,” Peppy smiled. “I’ll ask General Pepper and see what he says.”
“Thanks Peppy.”
“Let him do that,” Fox suggested. “We can go to the wreck room and catch up some more.”
“Sure.” Fox and Miyu went into the hall.
“I better bring up those damaged machines,” Slippy decided and left the room towards the closest door to the Maintenance Halls.
“I’m heading to bed,” Falco said.
“Good night Falco,” Peppy added but Falco didn’t hear.
-A few days later, Sauria, Walled City-
A smaller sized EarthWalker with a Star Fox badge stood halfway up the red pyramid that was in the center of the large, grassy ditch in the planet.
-KING TRICKY-
He waited, standing there with a bodyguard on each side. A ThornTail ran up to Tricky, panting heavily.
“Sir! Oikonny is coming this way!”
“Okay, I’ll send some troops to make sure everyone is okay, I’m trying to contact Fox.” A few EarthWalkers came around the structure and joined up with the ThornTail; then they hurried out of the Walled City.
“Maybe they’ll get your message if you keep trying,” one of the bodyguards suggested.
“I hope so.” The badge started glowing as Tricky called for Star Fox. A giant machine that looked like a crab busted through the doors to the Walled City.
“Ahahaha! I’ve already taken out General Scales and the Queen CloudRunner, now you’re next King EarthWalker! Then I’ll control Sauria!”
-ANDREW OIKONNY-
“Fox is our last hope now.”
-Great Fox, Wreak Room-
“So now you’re officially part of our team!” Fox smiled referring to the fact that Peppy just awarded her a badge.
“It’s like a dream come true,” Miyu exclaimed.
“I’m really liking this arrangement.” Miyu looked over as did Fox and they stared into each other’s eyes, smiling.
“Whoa, hold on Fox, what about Krystal?” Falco asked.
“Who? Oh, she’s gone evil, I’m SO over her.” Fox and Miyu never broke eye contact.
“Are you sure?”
“Weren’t you the one telling me that it was unhealthy to grieve for her?”
“I guess but-”
“But nothing, stop trying to ruin the moment.” Fox and Miyu stared and smiled at each other in the now quiet room for a while then Falco groaned and left. They both jumped a little when the intercom came on.
“EMERGENCY CALL COMING IN FROM SAURIA.”
“We better go!” Fox panicked, they jumped up and ran out of the room.
-Great Fox, Bridge-
Fox and Miyu joined the rest in the bridge area so Rob could brief them.
“I HAVE PICKED UP A DISTRESS SIGNAL FROM PLANET SAURIA.”
“What’s that?” Miyu asked Fox.
“That is where I met Krystal and another team member Tricky. I kept the planet from blowing up a few months ago.”
“I SCANNED SAURIA AND FOUND THAT OIKONNY IS ATTACKING THE THREE LEADERS OF THE PLANET: GENERAL SCALES, QUEEN CLOUDRUNNER, AND KING TRICKY OF THE EARTHWALKERS.”
“Well if Tricky’s in trouble then we have to help,” Fox decided. “Let’s go!”
“AFFIRMATIVE, TARGET: PLANET SAURIA. SUPER ENGINES ONLINE.” The engines on the Great Fox gave out blue-green colored energy that turned to white as the ship sped up.
-Space Near Sauria-
The Great Fox slowed and began to orbit Sauria directly above Walled City. They entered their personal ships, Miyu in her Interceptor. Then Rob launched them out and they flew down to the surface.
-Sauria, Walled City-
“Hey Tricky, look up there!” One guard yelled.
“What is it?!”
“Something’s falling from the sky!” Tricky looked up and saw four lights shining in the bright, sunny sky.
“It must be Star Fox!”
-Same place, Star Fox’s POV-
“Rob, do you see anything?” Fox asked.
“I SEE TWO SUBJECTS, ONE IS A LARGE CRAB-LIKE TANK MANNED BY OIKONNY; THE OTHER IS A SMALL FIGHTER KNOWN AS CAT’S PAW MK. II, IT CRASHED NEAR THE WEST SIDE OF WALLED CITY.”
“Cat’s Paw?! That’s the one Katt drives!” Falco panicked.
“You go check on her,” Fox ordered. “We can take it from here.”
“Thanks buddy.” Falco turned and flew towards the Cat’s Paw.
“Oikonny! What do you think you’re doing?!”
“Heh heh, hello Star Fox,” Oikonny smiled.
“Let’s take that chimp down!”
“I’m right behind you honey!” Miyu assured.
“I’m ready too!” Slippy added. Fox flew by and shot at the crab tank but nothing happened.
“D***!” Fox cursed.
“My turn,” Miyu decided.
“And I’ll help!” Slippy offered. Miyu flew by and fire a charged shot at Oikonny but it just bounced off. Slippy followed behind and immediately dropped three smart bombs but even they didn’t even make a mark in the red, mechanical seafood platter.
“Now what Fox?” Miyu asked.
“Not sure.”
“Had enough yet Star Fox?!”
“We can’t stop him alone.”
“We’ll help!” A familiar feline yelled from the previously crashed ship that was speeding towards them with Falco’s Sky Claw following close behind.
-KATT MONROE-
“Is that you Katt?”
“The one and only!”
“Bah more pests!” Oikonny complained.
“Take this!” A medium sized bomb showed up underneath the Cat’s Paw and fired at the tank, a powerful blast enveloped the tank. After a few minutes the dust cleared and only the remains of the tank lay there in a huge red heap.
“What kind of bomb was that?!” Fox asked excitedly.
“It was a compact nuke,” Slippy informed. “They have the power of a nuke but they contain the blast making them good for smaller targets with tough armor.”
“I want one.”
“That’s something Falco would say.”
“And I have,” Falco added.
“W-well, that’s not, strong enough, to f-finish me!” Oikonny yelled from the mess.
“What? Oikonny!” Fox panicked. An emergency pod suddenly ejected from the pile and shot into space barely missing the orbiting Great Fox. “Forget him, we better check on Tricky.” All five ships landed in front of the pyramid; Tricky saw them and came down. Fox was the last to hop out of his fighter. Tricky ran and jumped on him out of happiness.
“Fox! I knew you’d make it, I just knew it!” Tricky yelled.
“I’m s-sure you did Tricky!” Fox said with very little air from Tricky’s weight; the others didn’t help, they only laughed.
“I guess he’s okay then,” Falco laughed.
-A few days later, Open Space-
Fox and Miyu were on the couch together alone in the room.
“Hey Fox.”
“Yeah?”
“I just a great, but drastic, idea.”
“What?”
“I think we would do way better if we left Star Fox and become our own team, just me and you!”
“You’re right, that is drastic, but I kinda like that idea.”
“Hey did I hear right?” Katt asked as she entered the room. “You two are planning on leaving Star Fox to make your own team?”
“Maybe.”
“Well I’d like in on that.”
“Why should we?” Miyu asked.
“Because I can get a robot that is like a better version of your Rob, and I have a base on Fichina with Fay and Lucy; they’re waiting for something to do.”
“Sounds good to me Fox.”
“Yeah, let’s go!” They snuck out of the wreck room to the docks; they took their vehicles and flew to Fichina. “This is only temporary, right?”
“Maybe,” Miyu said.
“Okay, I guess we’ll just see how it goes.”
-Fichina, Star Ice Base-
“Here we are!” Katt yelled. “Star Ice’s base!”
“Cool,” Fox mumbled.
-Star Ice Base, Lounge-
Katt led Fox and Miyu into the lounge to see a young rabbit, the daughter of Peppy sitting on the couch.
-LUCY HARE-
“Hey Fox!” She smiled. “What are you doing here?”
“They are now part of our team,” Katt announced.
“Cool!” Lucy said. Then a white dog with a pink bow walked out from the bathroom.
-FAY SPANIEL-
“M-Miyu?!” Fay asked with wide eyes.
“Fay!” They ran and hugged.
“I forgot how good of friends they were,” Fox mentioned.
“So what are you and Fox doing here with us?” Fay asked.
“We joined you guys for awhile.”
“Really?! Yaaay!”
“Uh I think I’m the only guy here,” Fox pointed out.
“Hmm guess so, looks like you got lucky,” Katt smiled.
“I sure did…” Fox’s voice trailed off as he locked stares with Miyu again.
“Ooo, do I detect a love spark?” Fay smiled.
“That’s what I might call it,” Miyu answered, which made Fox blush slightly through his fur.
“Okay well we’ll give you some privacy,” Lucy said.
“But just remember,” Katt added. “Fox, wear a condom.”
“Whoa! What?! Uh, uh, uh, sh-shut up Katt!” Fox yelled as his entire face turned so red that you’d have no idea that he normally had bright orange and white fur.
“Nice comeback.” They left Miyu and Fox alone in the room; Fox’s blush faded as he looked into Miyu’s beautiful yellow eyes. He realized that her eyes looked about as beautiful as Krystal’s caring blue eyes, until she changed into Kursed; now her eyes might as well be heartless black or evil red instead of the beautiful blue she no longer deserved.
Fox and Miyu inched closed then embraced and kissed passionately but then the door flung open and in came Lucy.
“Sorry to interrupt but Star Wolf is going after Star Fox so we’d better lend a hand.”
“Okay, we’re coming.” They gave each other another quick kiss and followed Lucy out of the room towards the command center.
-Star Ice Base, Command Center-
They gathered and listened to the silver robot that appeared to be similar to Rob.
-R.O.B 2000-
“YOUR MISSION IS TO GO HELP STAR FOX REPEL STAR WOLF THEN RETURN HERE.”
“Okay Rob 2000.”
They entered their personal fighters, Lucy in her Sky Bunny, Fay in a pinker version of the Interceptor.
“LAUNCH,” Rob 2000’s voice said over the intercom.
-Space near the Great Fox-
“Where is Fox!?” Falco yelled as Panther chased him down.
“I don’t know,” Peppy panicked. “I haven’t seen him, Miyu or Katt around anywhere.”
“THERE ARE FIVE FIGHTERS COMING IN,” Rob announced to the team.
“Who is it now?” Falco asked.
“I SEE THE ARWING II, TWO INTERCEPTORS, CAT’S PAW MK. II, AND THE SKY BUNNY.”
“That would be Fox, Miyu, Fay, Katt, and Lucy,” Slippy realized.
“Hey Fox!” Falco yelled.
“Yeah?”
“Were the h*** did you go?!”
“Watch the language!”
“I’ll say it if I want to, you and Miyu are supposed to be here helping us; you going AWOL could have gotten us killed!”
“Since when have you stopped saying that you can take anyone?”
“I’m not playing around Fox! Just get in here and help us!”
“Fine.” Fox, Miyu, Fay, and Lucy came around and hit Star Wolf.
“Kursed!” Panther yelled. “Fox is on your tail!”
“Heh, sorry Kursed, it’s nothing personal, just part of the job,” Fox smiled as he gave her a taste of her own medicine. Fox slammed his fingers on the trigger and shot up the side of Kursed’s hull.
“Fox! I thought you wanted to be friends again!” Kursed hoped.
“No need now that I have Miyu. You’re only a good memory and a current enemy!” Fox shot up the Cloud Runner some more.
“Okay Star Fox and Star Ice,” Katt spoke up. “Move away from Star Wolf!” They gained distance from Star Wolf then they saw the Cat’s Paw fly by and fire another compact nuke, it missed but still hit a stray asteroid forcing Star Wolf to retreat.
“Hey Fox, let’s just act like this whole changing teams thing never happened,” Miyu suggested.
“Yeah, sounds good,” Fox agreed. Star Ice seemed to understand as they flew back to Fichina without Fox or Miyu.
-Great Fox, Docks-
Fox and Falco unfortunately met up on the docks.
“So where did you go?” Falco asked angrily.
“We just visited Star Ice,” Fox lied.
“Bull, you’re lying and I hate that!” Falco balled his hands into fists and Fox was sure he’d punch him.
“Whoa whoa whoa, hold on Falco!” Slippy yelled as he and Miyu separated them. “What in the world has gotten into you man?!”
“Nothing…” Falco turned and went into the Great Fox.
“I’m going to try to talk to him,” Fox decided.
“But what if he tries to hit you again?!” Miyu asked.
“Then I’ll deal with it.”
“Just don’t let him rough up you’re silky smooth fur, Honey.” Fox blushed from the seductive tone she used.
“I, I, I wont.” Fox went after Falco with the blush slowly fading; he hoped it’d be gone by the time he caught up to Falco.
-Great Fox, Falco’s room-
Fox knocked on the door.
“Go away!” Falco yelled.
“I’m coming in whether you want me to or not!” Fox opened the door and shut it behind him.
“What the h*** do you want?!” Falco snapped.
“I just want to talk. I know something’s bugging you and I’m willing to listen.” Falco said nothing. “Fine then I’ll just leave.”
“Wait!”
“Yes?”
“Katt dumped me.”
“Oh, I see. You know, that sounds a little like what I went through a few weeks ago.”
“So you do understand?”
“You bet, let’s see if I can help out.”
-A few days later, Fox’s room-
Fox was fast asleep in the pitch-black room; he lay among the pile of blankets. Suddenly he woke up from a creaking sound in his room. He didn’t turn on the light because he just wanted to fall asleep again, but he heard the sound again then suddenly something heavy landed on him and he struggled to get free. The thing held him down and tied him up then put a cloth in his mouth, then it turned on his bedside lamp. The light instantly flooded the room and Fox could see Kursed panting on top of him.
“I’m sorry about this Fox, I just want to talk but I was afraid you’d attack me or yell for the others. I’ll untie you if you promise to just talk to me.” Fox looked relieved and nodded his head. Kursed began untying him then she took the cloth out of his mouth.
“So now that that’s over,” Fox began. “What do you want Kursed?”
“A little while before Star Wolf attacked again I snapped out of my hostile self.”
“Really?”
I’m not expecting you to say yes but I wanted to know if I could rejoin you guys.”
“Uh, sure.”
“You’re really going to let me come back?!”
“Sure Kursed.”
“Ah, ah, ah; it’s Krystal now.”
-KRYSTAL-
“But what about… never mind.”
“I’m not expecting you to leave Miyu for me.”
“Man, I hate it when you do that!” Fox realized she read his mind.
“Oops, sorry, I try to let people have their privacy.”
“That’s okay. You can uh, sleep in here tonight until we tell the others.” Fox made himself blush a little from his suggestion.
“I don’t want Miyu to get the wrong idea though.”
“But it’s to early to get any one up now, plus I can’t let you sleep on the hard floor.”
“Do you still have that extra mattress?”
“Oh yeah, it’s in the closet.” Krystal went over and yanked the twin-sized mattress out of the closet and laid it on the floor to the left of Fox. Krystal laid on it, Fox turned off the lamp, and they drifted off to sleep.
-A few hours later, Fox’s room-
Fox’s eyes sprung open as he awoke, he pushed himself up and looked at the clock, it said the time was one-thirty P.M.
“Hey Krystal, you still there?” Fox looked down where Krystal slept but only saw floor, her and the mattress were gone. Fox looked up and saw the closet door open with the mattress inside and assumed Krystal must already be up. Wait, Krystal, up? Do the others know she’s here? Did they kick her out?! Fox, realizing these questions, immediately hopped up and ran to his dresser. He threw on his normal clothes then bolted out of the room.
-Great Fox, Bridge-
Fox ran out into the bridge and saw only Rob there.
“Hey Rob, do you know where the others are?”
“I BELIEVE THEY ARE IN THE WRECK ROOM.”
“Thanks.” Fox wasted no time heading to find them.
-Great Fox, Wreck Room-
Fox peaked in and saw everyone but Miyu in the room; they were all laughing and smiling together.
“Hey guys,” Fox smiled as he walked in.
“Oh hey Fox,” Falco greeted.
“They don’t hate me as much as I thought for leaving,” Krystal added.
“Well that’s good. So I take it you are going to rejoin us.”
“Probably, I just need to know one more person’s reaction.”
“Miyu?”
“Yeah, I don’t want her to think I’m trying to push her out.”
“She won’t, I’m sure. I’ll go get her.” Fox turned and went towards Miyu’s room.
-Great Fox, Miyu’s room-
Fox knocked on her door but got no response; he waited for a few minutes, then, figuring she was still asleep, he quietly opened the door. He looked in and saw the lights were on and Miyu was standing facing away from him. She only wore a towel around her lower half; her wet fur suggested that she probably just got out of the shower. She must have heard the door open because she quickly pulled up the towel to cover everything and turned around to see Fox; they both had blushes on their cheeks.
“Hey Fox, ever heard of knocking?!”
“I did knock, but you must not have heard me! I thought you were still asleep.”
“Well I just turned the shower off a few seconds ago. You should probably be leaving now, I support abstinence.”
“Whoa, that’s not why I’m here!”
“Well then what are you doing here?”
“We need you in the wreck room.”
“Fine, once I get some clothes on I’ll be right there; you should wait outside.” Fox knew that her being naked was embarrassing for her so he nodded and shut the door after he waited outside the room for her. A few minutes later she came out fully dressed; her and Fox took each other’s hand and went to the wreck room.
-Great Fox, Wreck Room-
Fox led Miyu in; she smiled at everyone until she saw Krystal.
“Uh, I thought Kursed was an enemy,” Miyu pointed out.
“She decided to rejoin us,” Fox smiled. “She even changed her name back to Krystal.”
“Well I haven’t rejoined yet, first I want to know if you’re okay with that, Miyu.”
“Why are you asking me?” Krystal got up, went over to Miyu, and whispered in her ear. “Oh.” Miyu hugged Fox’s arm as Krystal sat back down. Fox, knowing what they said, blushed a little.
“So Fox,” Falco started. “How does it feel to have two babes fighting over you?” Fox just blushed more, but Krystal and Miyu stared at Falco and slowly shook their heads like he’s an idiot.
“I think it should be Fox’s choice,” Krystal suggested.
“Good idea,” Miyu smiled up at Fox.
“Bad idea,” Fox whimpered. “Either way I could piss one of you off.”
“I’ll be okay either way,” Krystal assured.
“Then I guess I’ll pick Miyu, we’ve already been together for a few weeks now.”
“I figured you would,” Krystal smiled. “Now that that’s settled I guess I’m rejoining.”
“I thought you would,” Peppy stepped forward. “That’s why I got this out.” Peppy held out a Star Fox badge.
“A badge.”
“Your badge from before.”
“Sweetness.” Krystal pinned it on her chest and put on a proud look.
“But now there’s the matter of bedrooms,” Fox realized. “Six people, five rooms.”
“Oh that’s no problem,” Miyu said with a suggestive tone. “I’ll just move in with you.” Fox sweated a little and his fur stood up as he thought about Miyu sleeping in the same bed as him in her underwear. Then he realized that his fur wasn’t the only thing standing up and he discretely covered his crotch.
-A few weeks later, Sarenga, Inside Magstation-
“Careful, one wrong move and we’ll have one less planet in the universe!” Fox reminded as they all carried a power rod to the magma control unit that kept the planet from melting completely.
“Hey Fox,” Falco called.
“Yeah?”
“If this thing would do that much then what are these stupid hazard suits supposed to do?”
“They make it not so hot here.”
“Heat we can take baby,” Miyu groaned from the heavy battery. “But I think blowing up is a bit more urgent.”
“Okay lift it up and slide it in that compartment!” They stood it up and lifted it into the machine then Fox shut the cover over it. Slippy panted then ran over and activated some programs and the rising magma slowed and lowered again from the reactive machine.
“Well the job is done, let’s get back and get paid,” Falco smiled.
“Is that all you think of Falco?” Krystal asked.
“No, I think of one other thing a lot too,” Falco smirked as he stared at Krystal, but not her face exactly. Fox saw Krystal looked uncomfortable and immediately pulled Falco over to him and Miyu.
“Falco, what’s wrong with you?” Fox asked.
“Yeah, can’t you tell she doesn’t feel comfortable when you do that?” Miyu added.
“She will once she gets used to it,” Falco smirked.
“Why do you keep hitting on her?”
“Since Fox isn’t with her anymore and I don’t have Katt anymore, well, figured it could work.”
“Just stop freaking her out. Okay let’s go!”
-Meanwhile, Space outside Corneria-
“Come in Lieutenant Grey,” a powerful voice said through the single fighter’s COM system.
“Yes Commander?” The canine answered.
-WILLIAM “BILL” GREY-
“Oikonny has wiped out most of the fleet, only you and two other fighters are still alive, you gotta get out of there!”
“Negative sir, I can’t do that.”
“I gave you an order!”
“I’m sorry I can’t obey, Oikonny can’t be allowed to reach Corneria.”
“You’re crazy, there’s only two other fighters with you!” a flash of light filled the sky for a moment and Bill looked out the window and saw an explosion engulfing a Cornerian fighter.
“Uh you better make that one, one other fighter.”
“If you stay you’ll die. You know that right?”
“Yes, but maybe I can weaken him.”
“Don’t be a fool!”
“I’m sorry Commander.”
“No wait Bil-” Bill shut off the COM system and concentrated on Oikonny.
-Great Fox, Bridge-
“What’s the emergency Rob?” Fox asked.
“OIKONNY IS ATTACKING CORNERIA, LIEUTENANT GREY HAS SENT A DISTRESS SIGNAL.”
“What?! Oikonny is attacking Corneria?!”
“MOST OF THE FLEET HAS BEEN DESTROYED, ONLY BILL’S AND ONE OTHER SHIP ARE STILL WORKING.”
“This is unforgivable, we gotta go and don’t hold back!” They all followed Fox to the docks.
-Great Fox, Docks-
“Hey Fox,” Miyu called to him.
“Yeah?” She kissed him on the lips, his eyes widened and a red blush lit up his face. Miyu held it for a minute then broke it.
“Be careful out there honey.” Fox couldn’t say anything; he only nodded slowly. They all got in their fighters as Peppy and Rob brought them as close to Corneria as they could.
-Corneria, outer space-
The fighters got launched out and the Great Fox started to move away.
“Look!” Krystal yelled. “It’s Oikonny and the two fighters.” They suddenly witnessed a large explosion.
“One fighter now,” Falco said.
“Let’s hope that wasn’t Bill,” Slippy pointed out.
“Knowing him it wasn’t,” Fox smiled. “Hey Oikonny, You don’t seem to know who your dealing with!”
“Oh yes I do, one lone fighter and the puny Star Fox team!”
“That’s not all.” Star Ice as well as Star Wolf came and joined the group.
“Hey boys,” Katt greeted.
“We might hate you especially for taking Kursed,” Wolf started.
“I went back to Krystal.”
“But I want to be the one to take you down Fox, we’ll help get rid of Oikonny so one day I’ll get a chance to take you.”
“Thanks Wolf… I think,” Fox said.
“Heh one against twelve, I think I have better odds,” Oikonny smirked.
“Let’s prove him wrong!”
“Yeah, let’s go!” Miyu cheered. All the fighters sped up to assault Oikonny’s flagship. They all fired at the flagship and it fired back, a rainbow of lasers filled the sky, no one could quite tell who was winning but they knew they weren’t getting anywhere until they all saw the Arwing II going straight at Oikonny.
“Ahahaha, let’s go Star Fox!” They had a dogfight, Fox pelted the hull with laser fire; Oikonny fired a shell the barely missed. Fox directly hit the cockpit’s glass in hopes of breaking it but to no avail, the glass didn’t so much as react to the beams. Fox bit his lip and fired a smart bomb; it did considerable damage to the hull but then Oikonny retaliated and fired another shell then hit quickly and precisely into the Arwing II’s cockpit glass and it blew up.
“N-no Fox!” Miyu started crying from the sight of Fox being shot down.
“Ahahaha! I’ve finally killed Star Fox!”
“Crap, I wanted too do that!” Wolf yelled. Then moved out of the way as Miyu’s ship shot past him straight at Oikonny.
“You’ll pay for that you d*** chimp!”
“What are you doing?!”
“Finishing you!” Miyu fired all three smart bombs into the flagship’s hull then barrel rolled right through it. Oikonny screamed in terror as his ship fell apart around him; he gathered what the ship still had and fired a single shell at Miyu. Out of nowhere the Arwing II, in it’s critical state, past Miyu and collided into the shell saving Miyu. It blew up even more this time showing that the whole ship went this time. Miyu realized what happened but couldn’t say anything. The flagship blew up which scattered the parts of the Arwing II.
“Miyu I know this won’t mean much,” Wolf started. “But Fox really was a great guy; he’ll always be around to get the job done, whether he’s there or not.”
“Plus you still got us,” Krystal assured. “Even if it’s not quite the same.”
“I know,” was all Miyu could push out. They collected and went back to where they all belong.
-About and hour later, Fox and Miyu’s room-
Miyu was face down in the bed she no longer had to share; tears stained the majority of the pillow. Realizations of Fox’s… departure filled her mind as she wept; she remembered the way Fox always sweetly stared into her eyes, how he blushed at any “suggestion”, and just how much they loved each other. Suddenly a soft knock came from her door.
“Yes?” She tried to hold back her tears.
“It’s Slippy, there’s a private call for you.”
“From who?”
“Corneria.”
“What do they want?”
“I don’t know, they said it’s private.” Miyu splashed some water onto her face from the sink and left the room.
-Great Fox, Wreck Room-
Miyu entered and everyone else was listening in from the outside, even Peppy and Krystal.
“Hello?” Miyu said into the phone. “I’m sorry, say that again. Yes I remember. I, I don’t understand?! What do you mean Fox is alive?!”
